It's beautiful and gentle and warm and a little silly, but in the best possible way...”  MaryAnn Johanson - The Flick Filosopher

This movie has a tone, look and mood all its own -- it's a joyously bittersweet piece of visual music about isolation, melancholy and everyone's yearning for transcendence, through love, art or both.”  Michael Sragow - Baltimore Sun

Nothing defines difference as much as the Israeli/Arab divide, and yet, as we know, they share the same historical roots.  In this wonderful ‘small’ film that difference is overcome in spite of the seemingly insurmountable barriers of language and political reality.  An Egyptian military band arrives in the wrong Israeli town.  They are taken in overnight by the town’s local cafe owner. Friendships are made and a small step towards healing this huge rift is made.

Enjoy the hope that political, historical and cultural differences can be easily overcome by ordinary people.
