After high school both Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris went to university in Los Angles - Dayton to study film and Faris to study dance.  They met, married and began to work together.  In their time they have produced award winning music videos and commercials  and also worked in television.  Little Miss Sunshine is their first feature film.  They are currently working on the script for a new film based on the novel The Abstinence Teacher.  The couple are married with three children.
