Pollak began his film-making career in television, then moving into feature films.  His three earlier films, were all critically acclaimed in Sweden.  However, he then changed careers, writing books and running courses on personal development.  After a long absence from film he returned with As it is in Heaven, which has been an outstanding success throughout the world.  He has a PhD and is also a teacher in mathematical statistics.
