Samson and Delilah
Samson and Delilah
October 25
“an excellent example of visual storytelling, a compelling slow burning story, and it truly feels like the beginning of something new and special in Australian cinema.” Thomas Caldwell - Cinema Autopsy
“Tangible, recognisable, sometimes terrible truths about the human condition drive this film's aching heart, in which few words are spoken but much is communicated” Andrew L. Urban - Urban Cinefile
Our most requested film for this year is heartbreaking. The world that is depicted in this film is, alas, all too real and yet there is hope, even some joy and some humour. Told almost without words we follow the growing love between a pair of young outback Aborigines and their journey from the despair of the outback to the no less despairing city. We hope that this gut wrenching look at young Aboriginal Australian lives will enlighten and transform.
