I look forward to and enjoy watching and experiencing the selection of films at Croydon Film Society. There is a broad range of film genres, different themes, cultures, countries, languages (subtitled), times in history. The films provide interest and are thought provoking, many remain in my memory and have broadened my horizons. Most films take one on an interesting journey!

A really good club for those who like watching interesting films. 18 films a year is really great value for money too!

Films tend to be way too much on the idea of encouraging third world film-makers at the expense of quality and entertainment value. Croydon Cinema could do with a renovation.

Would you like to enjoy an interesting range of movies? Croydon Film Society has a well-run committee of dedicated people, is very affordable (22 movies per year) , and is full of friendly members who appreciate the value that quality cinema brings to our lives.

An enlightening, stimulating experience in watching a range of movies that go beyond the standard fare offered in most cinemas. It is also a good experience in building connections with other members over a coffee after the movie. A great way to spend every second Monday eve, enjoying films in a very cost effective and supportive environment .

I've seen films here that I never would have chosen to see at the cinema and they've all been wonderful. I try to never miss a screening.

I have watched some truly memorable films over the years at Croydon Film Society and all for a very affordable membership fee. If you like the experience of cinema and enjoy alternatives to mainstream blockbusters, the CFS may be just what you are looking for.

Been Going 15 years. Run by a dedicated committee. Very well priced to see last years films in the burbs. Runs in two cinemas

Location: Metro Cinemas Boronia

Dorset Square, (Opposite Kmart) –  Enter via Boronia Road, Boronia VIC

There is a large car park with plenty of parking near the cinemas. Boronia train station is just a few minutes walk away, whilst bus stops are also located nearby.

Those with mobility issues or who have difficulty climbing stairs should note that there is no wheelchair access or a stair lift.
